Official: Gabriel Martinelli leaves Arsenal and signs for Al Hilal

Record3 September 2026 at 19:37

The Brazilian player Gabriel Martinelli left Arsenal and signed for Al Hilal, a club from Saudi Arabia. The transfer was officially confirmed and represents a significant departure for European football.

Al Hilal paid 70 million euros to secure the signing of the Brazilian striker. The amount makes this one of the most important transfers from European football to the Saudi league in recent times.

Martinelli arrived at Arsenal in 2019 and became an important piece of the squad. During his time at the English club, the player developed and gained recognition in the Premier League.

The move to Saudi football follows a trend of signings of major European names by clubs in the region, which have been investing heavily in high-level players in recent years.
