The CNN Portugal commentator, Enrique Pinto-Coelho, commented on the Spanish government's response to the Ceuta crisis, considering that Pedro Sánchez's executive "reacted within legality and taking into account the rights of the people who entered".
According to Pinto-Coelho's analysis, the Spanish government reacted late to the crisis, but the way it responded was not incorrect from the standpoint of legality and respect for human rights.
The Ceuta crisis involved a situation of massive entry of people, regarding which the Spanish executive had to make rapid decisions.
Enrique Pinto-Coelho highlighted that, despite the delay in the response, the measures adopted were compatible with the legal framework and with consideration for the rights of the people who entered Spanish territory.
