Dynamo makes it tough to release Plata's medical exams to Flamengo

oglobo3 September 2026 at 19:02

Dynamo Moscow has been making it difficult to send Flamengo the medical exams that rejected the signing of forward Gonzalo Plata. The Russian club refused the red-and-black club's request for access to the exams, claiming it would depend on a series of authorizations to preserve the player's privacy. Dynamo reported having identified a calcification in the athlete's knee.

Flamengo suspects that Dynamo gave up on the deal and used the medical issue as a pretext to end the negotiation. The Brazilian club believes Plata is fit for activities and is seeking legal protection from the situation.

Yesterday, Dynamo published an official statement affirming that the agreement was broken off due to a "series of reasons" and that the decision was made based on the "long-term interests of the institution," without specifying the reasons. The Russian club did not detail what those reasons would be.
