The tokenization of real world assets already presents concrete applications in the market, no longer being merely a technological promise. The central debate no longer revolves around whether an asset can be tokenized, but rather where this transformation can generate value and new liquidity. The event that brought together specialists to debate this issue was the panel "Real World Assets (RWAs): Where Tokenization Generates New Liquidity", held during FEBRABAN TECH 2026.
The panel featured Victória de Sá, cofounder of VERT, Lia Pedro, representing Banco do Brasil, and Patrícia Aiello, from Elas Tokenizam. The moderation was conducted by journalist Mariana Maria Silva. The meeting proposed a pragmatic analysis of RWAs, the English acronym for Real World Assets.
Instead of treating tokenization as an automatic solution, the discussion placed criteria such as demand, operational efficiency, security, regulation, and trading capability at the center. Representing an asset on blockchain can improve its traceability and allow greater transparency, but does not guarantee liquidity by itself.
