NVIDIA announced the acquisition of Hugging Face, a platform specializing in AI models and tools, in a deal valued at 12.9 billion dollars.
According to Reuters, the agreement provides for the payment of approximately 11.9 billion dollars to Hugging Face investors as part of the transaction.
Additionally, up to one billion dollars in shares will be allocated for retaining employees of the acquired company after the deal is completed.
This acquisition reinforces NVIDIA's position in the artificial intelligence sector, allowing the company to expand its ecosystem by incorporating one of the main AI model platforms on the market.
