The Monthly Gathering of Madeiran Military Personnel Who Served Overseas held its 100th Meeting on July 5 at the Ribeira Brava church. This meeting marks a significant celebration for the group of former Madeiran military personnel.
The next meeting is scheduled for Sunday, September 6, at the Rochão church in the parish of Camacha. The program includes mass at 11 am and a tribute to the fallen military personnel at 11:45 am, with a blessing and delivery of a floral arrangement. This tribute recognizes both the Madeiran military personnel who died overseas and those who died after returning.
To facilitate participation, there will be a bus departing from Câmara de Lobos, at Ponte dos Frades, at 8:30 am. The vehicle will pass through Avenida do Mar, in front of the GNR, at 9 am, then continue to Santa Cruz, where it will arrive at 9:45 am.
After the activities at the Rochão church, participants will have lunch at 12:30 pm in Machico, thus completing the meeting program.
