University of Porto is European University Rowing Champion

The University of Porto once again stood out in the European university sports scene, winning two medals – one gold and one bronze – at the 2026 European University Rowing Championship, held between 25 and 30 August in Zagreb, Croatia. The main highlight came in the quadri-scull event, where the Porto team secured the gold medal. The women's eight with coxswain team also contributed to the excellent result, earning the bronze medal. With these results, the University of Porto consolidated its position as one of the most successful higher education institutions in European university sports.
