The 4th edition of "Stories in the Shade of the Montado" will be launched on September 5th at 6:00 PM at the José Saramago Municipal Library in Odemira. The project is a comic book initiative that, since 2022, pays tribute to the cork oak and the montado ecosystem in the Odemira region.
The project brings together writers and artists in a creative collaboration aimed at celebrating this unique habitat. Hugo Tornelo, the initiative's creator, and Alain Corbel, one of the artists involved, will be present at the launch event.
The montado ecosystem, characterized by the presence of the cork oak, is considered a singular environment of great ecological and cultural importance for the region. This edition maintains the tradition of the previous ones by giving voice to stories inspired by this territory.
