The Lisbon horror film festival MOTELX celebrates until the 13th its 20th edition, which becomes the biggest ever. The event, dedicated to the horror genre, reached an important milestone by completing two decades of existence.
João Monteiro and Pedro Souto are the festival's founding directors, having been involved in its establishment twenty years ago. The two responsible parties speak about what changed and what remained over this period.
In statements captured by the title, the directors compared MOTELX to the Festas do Avante!, describing it as "the Festas do Avante! of horror cinema". This analogy suggests that the festival has become an unmissable landmark in the Portuguese cultural calendar dedicated to this film genre.
