MIMMOS – International Puppet, Masks and Objects Show from Sintra is back between September 11 and 27, with free admission programming aimed at the whole family, in different venues in Agualva, Cacém and Rio de Mouro. Over more than two weeks, the festival proposes a diverse set of initiatives that cross tradition, imagination and contemporaneity, through the language of puppets, masks and scenic objects.
In this edition, migrations take a central place in the programming. The theme is approached through stories, memories, encounters and new territories, real and imaginary, inviting the audience to reflect on one of the most pressing issues of today. The programming includes performances, workshops and encounters, with the participation of national and international artists and companies.
The proposals were designed for different age groups and levels of artistic experience, reinforcing the role of MIMMOS as a space for discovery, dialogue and community participation. Organized by Valdevinos Teatro de Marionetas, the show has the support of the Sintra City Council.
