The Farense requested the postponement of the match against Desportivo de Chaves, scheduled for Sunday, due to a viral outbreak affecting the squad. The request has already been submitted to the Portuguese Professional Football League and should have a final decision during the day.
The training session scheduled for this morning was cancelled, after several players presented cases of fever, diarrhea, and vomiting. The Farense SAD states that the squad "does not meet" the necessary conditions to play the scheduled match.
The viral condition began still last week, before the match against Sporting B, with winger André Candeias being left out precisely due to some of these symptoms. The situation worsened in the following days, affecting more members of the squad.
