The Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira, 31 years old, has renewed his contract with BMW and will continue in the World Superbike Championship for the 2025 season. The announcement confirms that the rider from Almada will complete his second season riding the BMW M 1000 RR in the world motorcycle speed championship.
Miguel Oliveira expressed satisfaction with the continuity of the project, stating that the best is still to come. This renewal represents a bet by the German brand on the Portuguese rider, who moved to Superbikes after several years in MotoGP.
During the first season with BMW, Oliveira competed in the premier Superbike category, gaining experience with the German manufacturer. The collaboration between the Portuguese rider and BMW will thus continue, with the aim of improving the results obtained in the previous season.
With this decision, Miguel Oliveira joins other renowned riders in the World Superbike Championship, where he will try to demonstrate his potential in a different category from MotoGP, where he competed for several years before making the transition to Superbikes.
