Three wonders of Lezíria do Tejo compete for a spot in the national final

Three heritage sites from the Lezíria do Tejo region were selected for the national semi-final of the New 7 Wonders of Portugal, joining the list of 49 semi-finalists distributed across the seven categories of the competition. These are the Casa dos Patudos, the Cathedral of Santarém and the Municipal Market of Santarém, which now seek to secure their passage to the National Grand Final.

The semi-final takes place next Saturday, September 5th, at 9:30 PM, at the National Palace of Sintra. Public voting will determine the 21 finalists, three for each of the seven categories of the competition.

The Casa dos Patudos – Alpiarça Museum represents Lezíria do Tejo in the Tourism category. This former residence of José Relvas can be voted for through the telephone number 761 207 082.

In the Religion category, the region is represented by the Cathedral of Santarém, whose voting number is 761 207 074. The Municipal Market of Santarém competes in the 20th Century category, and can be supported through the number 761 207 077.
