FC Porto announces signing of Gabriel Mec

RTP Notícias3 September 2026 at 10:40

FC Porto announced the signing of the 18-year-old Brazilian youngster Gabriel Mec. The player arrives at the Portuguese club from Grêmio, his hometown team in Brazil.

The transfer operation cost 11 million euros to FC Porto's coffers, known as the "blue and whites." This value represents the investment made by the Portuguese club to secure the services of the young forward.

Gabriel Mec was under the guidance of Portuguese coach Luís Castro during his time at Grêmio. This previous connection between the player and the Portuguese coach may have facilitated the negotiation between the two clubs.
