Israel declared a state of war after a strong multi-front attack originating from Gaza. The Palestinian Authority reported that Israeli airstrikes have already killed 508 people, including around a hundred children, and injured 2,800 people. On the Israeli side, more than 700 people were killed and 2,300 were injured due to the unprecedented attack carried out by Hamas. At least 130 people were captured as hostages by Palestinian groups.
