A child was left in critical condition after being run over in Bom Retiro, in the municipality of Vila Franca de Xira. The vehicle driver was involved in the accident and fled the scene without providing any assistance to the victim.

The accident occurred when the child was crossing a crosswalk near a fast-food establishment. The child was struck by the vehicle during the crossing.

Authorities are investigating the case to identify the driver who abandoned the scene of the accident. No further information about the child's condition or the vehicle involved has been released so far.
