It has been a year since the derailment of the Glória Elevator occurred in Lisbon, one of the city's biggest disasters in recent decades. The accident resulted in the death of 16 people and left dozens injured.
The Public Ministry is conducting an inquiry into the case, which has not yet been concluded. According to the report, the inquiry is only expected to end in 2027.
The tragedy happened on a Thursday, the day exactly twelve months since the incident are completed. The Glória Elevator was one of Lisbon's most well-known historical monuments, used by both tourists and local residents.
