The Public Security Police (PSP) recorded a significant decrease in violent crime in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. This result comes within the scope of the operational assessment of the police force in the region.
At the same time, the PSP warned about the problem of road deaths, highlighting the need to strengthen enforcement and prevention in this area. The alert comes at a time when there is an intention to reduce road accident rates.
Police authorities highlighted that the decrease in violent crime in Madeira reflects the work carried out by security forces on the ground, as well as the prevention strategies implemented in the region.
This operational assessment was presented in the context of the PSP's deployment in Madeira, which covers both crime prevention and road safety.
