Coach Abel Ferreira was denounced by the Third Disciplinary Commission of the Superior Court of Sports Justice of Football (STJD) for unsportsmanlike conduct. The accusation refers to an episode during the match between Palmeiras and Mirassol, valid for Serie A of the Brazilian Championship, played on August 30. Broadcast images show Abel deliberately kicking a field microphone installed on the pitch, used by the team responsible for the game broadcast.
Besides the green-and-white commander, the refereeing trio of the match will also be judged. João Vitor Gobi (main referee), Roger Goulart (fourth official) and Ilbert Estevam da Silva (assistant video referee - VAR) will answer for possible omissions and violation of football rules, as informed by the entity.
The trial is scheduled for this Friday, at 10am, and will have a live broadcast on the official STJD website. The session will analyze the conduct of all those involved and determine the possible punishments applicable to the case.
