The Malta court acquitted businessman Yorgen Fenech of the charge of murdering investigative journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia. The decision was announced this Wednesday, when the trial concluded.
Yorgen Fenech was accused of ordering the journalist's death, which occurred in 2017. The journalist was known for her investigative work on corruption in the country.
This trial was part of a broader case related to the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia, who was killed in a car bomb attack in October 2017, in her hometown, Bidnija.
