The Quaest survey showed that presidential candidate Augusto Cury, from the Avante party, is gaining more visibility among voters. The percentage of people who say they know him and would vote for him more than doubled, going from 10% to 21% between the surveys of August 14 and September 2. This growth represents one of the largest positive variations among the candidates surveyed.
The increase in the conversion rate also boosted his voting intentions, which rose from 2% to 10%, making Cury take third place among the best-positioned presidential candidates. The survey was commissioned by TV Globo and the newspaper O GLOBO and was the first survey conducted after the interviews with presidential candidates.
The candidate still maintains a high index of lack of awareness, but the portion of those who say they don't know Cury fell from 76% to 54%, meaning he is still unknown to more than half of the electorate. This indicates there is growth potential if his media exposure continues to increase in the coming weeks.
