Pensions have become, in recent weeks, a "political weapon" of the Opposition, namely Chega and PS, in anticipation of the negotiations for the State Budget for 2027 (SB/2027). This issue has been used as a political argument by the opposition parties against the government.
The newspaper "Campeão" heard from the MPs of PS, PSD and Chega elected for the Coimbra constituency to understand what the priorities of SB/2027 are, both for the Country and for the Coimbra region.
The article addresses the challenges the country faces in preparing this budget, as well as the specific expectations of the Coimbra region regarding investments and public policies.
The interviews with the MPs allow us to understand the different party perspectives on the budgetary priorities for 2027, at a time when the negotiations for the document that will define the public finances for the coming year are approaching.
