The founder, a major and first president of the Association of Voluntary Blood Donors of Portalegre – ADBSP – was born in Alpalhão, a town in the municipality of Nisa. A team recently travelled to this locality to carry out another blood collection.
The Functional Unit of Immunohaemotherapy of ULSAALE collaborated in this initiative, which took place at the cultural centre of Alpalhão. The space welcomed with open arms the 18 volunteers who were available to donate blood.
Among the donors present, six were female. After the evaluation of those registered, one of them could not proceed with the donation, although the information about the reason is not visible in the article.
