Primark inaugurated on September 2nd its first store in the district of Castelo Branco, located at Forum Castelo Branco. The unit has more than 900 square meters of commercial space and represented an investment that enabled the creation of more than 40 new jobs in the region. The opening includes four self-checkout payment stations, as well as traditional checkout counters.

The new store corresponds to the brand's 14th store in Portugal and is part of an expansion plan valued at 45 million euros. According to the Head of Sales for Primark in Portugal and Spain, Nelson Ribeiro, the arrival in Castelo Branco holds special significance for the company, as it reinforces presence among communities in the country's interior. The executive highlighted that many of the new employees come from the region.

The investment plan includes four new stores and the expansion of the Forum Coimbra unit. The next openings are scheduled for September 10th in Setúbal, followed by Vila Nova de Gaia and Porto. An opening in Covilhã is also planned. When this expansion phase is complete, Primark will have 18 stores in Portugal and will have created more than 300 new jobs in the country.

The Irish brand simultaneously reached the milestone of 500 stores worldwide, with the opening of a unit in Naples, Italy. Founded in 1969, Primark is currently present in 19 countries across Europe, the United States and the Middle East.
