Académica begins preparation for the return to the top tier of national rugby

Académica kicked off training sessions for the return to the top tier of national rugby. The university club, known for its team nicknamed "pretos" (blacks), officially marked the start of the new season with the completion of the first training session.

The team is under the guidance of the new head coach, Rui Carvoeira, who takes charge of the sporting project. Carvoeira's appointment represents a new phase for the academic emblem in rugby.

The first training session took place with what the club described as "excellent energy and commitment" from the players. This inaugural session symbolizes the formal start of Académica's journey in their attempt to return to the top of Portuguese rugby.
