RTP Notícias2 September 2026 at 17:00

Matthew Brennan, British cyclist from the Visma/Lease a Bike team, secured victory in the 11th stage of the Vuelta a España by winning the sprint. This was the rider's third victory in the current edition of the Spanish competition.

The stage was contested with a final sprint, where Brennan proved to be the fastest among the favorites for the partial victory. The Briton had already achieved two stage victories previously in this Vuelta.

The general classification of the race continues to be led by Spaniard Enric Mas, from the Movistar team, who maintains the lead even after this stage.

The Vuelta a España thus continues at an accelerated pace, with Matthew Brennan asserting himself as one of the strongest sprinters of this edition, already accumulating three stage victories.
