The animated short film "2025/2052", collectively made by students from the 5th BN class at Escola Básica e Secundária Dr. Mário Fonseca in Nogueira, was selected for the competition at the Dubrovnik Film Festival in Croatia. The film was developed under the guidance of Jorge Carvalho, Inês Ribeiro, Susana Pinheiro, and Ivo Arantes.
The production has now reached an international stage, after having already been included in the official selection for the competition at CINANIMA 2026, the International Animated Film Festival of Espinho. This presence at two prestigious festivals represents a significant milestone for the work developed.
The film was created as part of the Animation Cinema Workshops, an initiative developed through a partnership between the Municipality of Lousada, Casa-Museu de Vilar, and the Intermunicipal Community of Tâmega e Sousa. The project allows students to directly engage with the filmmaking process and develop a collective work.
The selection for Croatia joins the presence at CINANIMA and reinforces the visibility achieved by the Animation Cinema Workshops project, putting the work of Lousada students in competition at an international festival dedicated to cinema.
