Candidates approved in the Rio Civil Police competition hold a protest this Wednesday in front of the Rio de Janeiro Court of Justice (TJ-RJ), in downtown, to demand that the state government convoke them to the State Police Academy Sylvio Terra (Acadepol). A total of 1,177 candidates await advancement in the selection. According to the organizers, the candidates have already gone through written test, physical fitness test, psychological evaluation and health exams. The group intends to request a meeting with Acting Governor Ricardo Couto de Castro to demand a decision on the continuation of the competition.

The approved candidates link the demand to the lack of personnel in the Civil Police. According to the movement, the corporation has more than 10,000 vacant positions, equivalent to more than half of the workforce.
