The director also revealed having refused to make the blockbuster "The Maid", choosing to follow a more personal artistic path faithful to his convictions, instead of pursuing a highly successful commercial career.
With this decision, Çatak demonstrated his commitment to creative integrity, choosing projects that reflect his artistic and human values, rather than safer commercial opportunities.
