Gustavo Silveira is a Madeiran player who represented Marítimo's under-23 team last season. The young footballer has now transferred to Montana, a Bulgarian club, where he made his debut in the Bulgarian Second Division.
This transfer represents an opportunity for the 22-year-old player to make the leap into professional football outside Portugal. The Bulgarian Second Division is the second tier of football in that country.
Montana is a club with tradition in Bulgarian football, having previously played in the top division. The arrival of Gustavo Silveira strengthens the midfield sector of the Bulgarian team for the new season.
This is not the first time a Portuguese player has switched from national football to the Bulgarian league, at a time when several clubs from Eastern Europe are looking for signings in the Portuguese market.
