Next Wednesday, Carlo Ancelotti will announce the players called up for the Brazilian national team in his first post-World Cup list. The Italian coach is currently in Europe but will arrive in Brazil on Friday. Three days later, he will work with an "extensive list" of 56 names to choose the 23 players who will face Australia in two matches and India, in September and October.
The delegation will be formed predominantly by young players who play in Brazilian football, with the base taken from the last World Cup. This will be the second-to-last FIFA window of the year, but the longest one, with clubs having their schedule interrupted for 16 days, between September 21 and October 6.
The Brazilian Championship will be paused after the 28th round, on the 19th and 20th, returning on October 7 and 8 for the 29th round. After that, between the 13th and 15th, the first legs of the CONMEBOL Cup semifinals will take place. The last interruption of Serie A will occur after the 34th round, on November 4.
