Winger Dodi Lukebakio will not be joining Sunderland. The deal between Benfica and the English club fell through, and the Belgian player remains in the Eagles' squad.

The transfer was in advanced negotiations, with rumors of an agreement in the region of 21 million pounds. However, Sunderland ultimately pulled back and abandoned the race for the player.

Lukebakio, who is a Belgium international, therefore remains linked to Benfica, where he would be completing his second season should he continue at the club.
