Chelsea and Manchester City have reached an agreement for the transfer of Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernández for approximately £125 million, equivalent to approximately €145 million. The player, 25 years old, signed a contract with the English club until 2032.
Enzo Fernández leaves Chelsea after a spell at the London club. The Argentine had previously stood out in European football before arriving at Chelsea, having also played for Benfica during his career.
The agreement represents one of the most significant transfers in European football in the current transfer window. The value of the operation places Fernández among the most expensive signings in football history.
In addition to Chelsea and Manchester City, Benfica is also mentioned as a beneficiary in this negotiation, suggesting that the Portuguese club received some compensation related to the transfer, likely due to a percentage of future resale or contractual clauses from previous agreements.
