Dani Ceballos returns to Betis as a free agent 9 years later and will sign until 2029

El Periódico Mediterráneo - General1 September 2026 at 20:39

Dani Ceballos will return to Real Betis Balompié. The Utrera midfielder will once again wear the green-and-white shirt after 9 years away from the club, returning as a free agent. The confirmation came through journalist Fabrizio Romano, specialized in transfers.

The player and the green-and-white entity reached an agreement to unite their paths again. The pact includes a contract until June 2029, representing a long-term commitment to the Heliópolis club.

This operation put an end to one of the big sagas of the Betis summer, with various speculations during the transfer window. Ceballos, who came through the Betis academy, now seeks to resume his career at the club where he made his professional debut.
