Messages seized by the Federal Police reveal that lawyer Ciro Soares, former defender of Banco Master, worked to have banker Daniel Vorcaro finance a trip to London for the son of the Attorney General of Brazil, Paulo Gonet. In the March 2025 conversations, Ciro asked Vorcaro if he could include Pedro Gonet in the group that would participate in an event in the English capital, and the banker confirmed the invitation.
The information is contained in a classified report prepared by the PF based on the analysis of Vorcaro's cell phone. The document was sent to Justice André Mendonça of the Supreme Federal Court in connection with Operation Compliance Zero, which investigates suspected fraud involving Banco Master.
In the seized messages, Ciro Soares sent a photograph alongside Gonet and stated that the PGR chief wanted to speak with the then owner of Master. After these message exchanges, four calls were recorded between those involved.
The operation investigates irregularities at Banco Master, and the conversations suggest an attempt to approach the banker and the leadership of the Federal Public Ministry, raising questions about a possible conflict of interest in the ongoing investigations.
