Dr. Heber Simões Videira is a medical physicist with 19 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine, having worked in radioisotope production, radiopharmacy, logistics, and regulation. Today, he uses this experience to contribute to public policy debates, such as Bill 2167/2025.
His trajectory began humbly, studying in public schools and at SENAI, without the financial means to pay for college. He received a scholarship through the Family School Program of the São Paulo state government, which opened the path to his academic education.
For five years, Dr. Heber was a Physics teacher in a public school. Through Physics, he arrived at Medical Physics and then at Nuclear Medicine, finding in this field a profession that unites science, technology, and direct impact on people's lives.
Dr. Heber himself acknowledges that a public policy was fundamental to his development. For this reason, he believes he should give back to society by bringing his technical and scientific knowledge to public policy debates, thus contributing to improving access to and quality of healthcare services.
