The teachers of the province of Castellón returned to the classrooms this Tuesday, with several pending matters inherited from the previous school year, which was marked by an indefinite strike temporarily suspended. A few weeks before the official start of classes, scheduled for September 9th, more than 98,000 students in the region are about to resume the school year.
On Monday, the day was dedicated to receiving the new teaching staff who still do not know the schools where they will be teaching. Some also took the opportunity to hold the first faculty meetings, set up working groups and finalize the class programs, according to Pau Pons, representative of the majority union STEPV.
Additionally, the management teams faced bureaucratic tasks related to the preparations for the start of the course. The teachers thus returned with many fronts open, in a context of tension following the labor conflict of the previous year.
