Portugal today expressed its support for the creation of a European Union mission in Lebanon. The Portuguese Minister of Foreign Affairs declared that Portugal is "fully in favor" of this European initiative.
The government official considered it "fundamental to stabilize" the situation in Lebanon, underscoring the importance of intervening in that Middle Eastern country.
This Portuguese position arises in the context of a broader discussion about European Union involvement in the region, with the aim of contributing to the stability of Lebanese territory.
