The Education Minister stated having "totally clear conscience" regarding a process opened by the Public Prosecutor's Office about the evaluation of exams. This statement comes at a time of tension between the government and teachers' unions.
The Public Prosecutor's Office decided to open a process to investigate how the exam evaluation took place, after receiving a formal complaint from Fenprof, the National Federation of Teachers. The federation alleged irregularities in the evaluation process.
Fenprof is one of the main representative organizations of teachers in Portugal, having a history of conflicts with the Ministry of Education over educational policies and working conditions.
The Public Prosecutor's process aims to clarify the procedures adopted in the exam evaluation and determine whether there was any irregularity that may have affected students' results.
