Portuguese player Pote, an international for Portugal, has completed his transfer to Fiorentina, an Italian Serie A club. The 27-year-old winger, who was playing for Sporting CP, will thus continue his career in the Italian league.
Sporting CP receives around 15 million euros for the transfer of the player, and may still receive an additional 3 million euros in variables, depending on Pote's performance at the new club and the fulfillment of certain objectives.
Pote arrived at Sporting in 2018 and became a fundamental piece of the team, having accumulated more than 200 games and scored close to 60 goals for the Lions. During his time at Alvalade, he won two Portuguese championships.
Fiorentina is thus looking to strengthen their attack with a player experienced in Portuguese and European football, hoping that Pote will bring creativity and goal-scoring ability to the Italian team next season.
