Gabriel Jesus was announced as Barcelona's new player on Tuesday. The Brazilian striker, 29 years old, revealed in his first press conference with the club that he accepted a "significant" salary reduction to finalize the deal. The player had a contract with Arsenal until June 2027.

The striker stated that Barcelona also made a huge effort for the transfer to happen. According to him, the opportunity to wear the Spanish club's jersey was a surprise, since at 29 he didn't expect to have this chance.

Gabriel Jesus spoke in Spanish during the press conference and declared that it is a dream to be at Barcelona. He said he wants to help the team and that everything is in God's hands. The player also revealed that when he was younger, he used to skip class to watch Ronaldinho play.
