The Spanish government approved a "shock plan" for Ceuta worth 309 million euros. This measure comes in response to the situation the autonomous city has been facing.
The largest portion of the amount will go to humanitarian aid. This humanitarian component represents the main priority of the plan approved by the Spanish executive.
In addition to humanitarian aid, funds will also be directed to strengthen security in Ceuta. The plan also includes funds to offset the decline in the local economy, thus covering different affected areas.
