Zico will receive an Honorary Doctorate from a university in Rio

Former player Zico, considered one of the greatest idols in the history of Flamengo and Brazilian football, will receive the title of Doctor Honoris Causa from Candido Mendes University. The tribute will recognize his contribution to sport and Brazilian culture.

The ceremony for granting the title is scheduled for September 9th, at 6:30 PM. The event will be held at UCAM Centro Theater, located in Rio de Janeiro.

The ceremony will be open to the public and can be attended by fans and admirers of the player. The university will hold the ceremony to recognize Zico's career on and off the fields.
