The young Brazilian footballer Gabriel Mec arrived in Porto on Monday, accompanied by his parents and siblings, to complete his transfer to the Portuguese club. The 18-year-old forward was received at the airport and then headed to the facilities of the Porto club.
Gabriel Mec is from Brazil and arrives at FC Porto from a Brazilian club, in an operation that involves a significant investment by the dragons. The player will sign a contract with the Porto club on Tuesday, after completing the usual medical exams.
The signing comes following FC Porto's usual strategy of investing in young South American talents, seeking to resell them later for higher values. Gabriel Mec thus joins the group of Brazilian players currently playing for the Portuguese club.
At just 18 years old, the Brazilian arrives in European football with the expectation of establishing himself in the dragons' first team. The young forward will be officially presented to the club during this week, a moment that will mark the beginning of his new career in Portuguese football.
