The Sintra municipality will grant financial support of 270 thousand euros to the Volunteer Fire Brigade corporations of Agualva-Cacém, Algueirão-Mem Martins and Sintra, intended for the acquisition of new rescue ambulances. The investment aims to reinforce the available means for providing emergency assistance in the municipality and improve the response capacity of the corporations in emergency situations.
The president of the Sintra Municipal Council, Marco Almeida, highlights the importance of the support, emphasizing that the municipality's priority is to provide the corporations with adequate means to carry out their duties. The mayor also guarantees that support for the municipality's firefighters will continue to be one of the main priorities of this administration.
With this investment, the municipality reinforces the operational capacity of the fire brigades, particularly through the renewal of emergency medical equipment, with an impact on the protection, rescue and safety of the municipality's population.
