A glacier collapsed in Nepal, causing a catastrophe with at least 1,003 dead and 3,916 missing people. The tragedy occurred after the glacial collapse, which caused devastating floods in the region.
Among the missing are four Portuguese citizens. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the presence of three missing Portuguese in Nepal, to which another Portuguese person reported missing in Tibet is added.
Local authorities continue with rescue operations, having so far managed to save 11,814 people. The numbers continue to be updated as search operations proceed in the affected region.
