Spain received 58.1 million foreign tourists in the first seven months of the year, representing a 4.6% increase compared to the same period last year. Spending by these tourists reached 82.054 billion euros, a 7.8% growth compared to the previous year.
Both indicators, both the number of visitors and the volume of spending, set new historical records for the country, according to the data presented.
Foreign tourists who visited the country in the first seven months of the year spent more money than in the previous period, with a significant increase in the total value of expenses.
The sustained growth in the number of arrivals and tourist spending reflects the positive trend of the sector in the Spanish economy during this period.
