The new law on the regime of Electric Displacement Vehicle Transport (TVDE) comes into effect this Tuesday, introducing significant changes to the sector. One of the main novelties is the possibility for taxis to operate as TVDE, which represents an important change in the regulation of road passenger transport.
The TVDE sector points to several "unconstitutionalities" in the new legislation, raising legal questions about the law's compliance with the Constitution. These concerns indicate potential challenges in implementing the new regulation.
The law also allows video recording inside vehicles, a measure aimed at reinforcing the safety of both passengers and drivers. However, the legislation expressly prohibits sound capture, establishing clear limits on the type of recording permitted.
