The Complementary Itinerary 8 (IC8) was reopened to traffic today, after having been closed due to a serious accident in Ansião, in the district of Leiria. The information was confirmed by Civil Protection.
The accident involved a collision between a heavy vehicle and two light vehicles. The impact of the collision caused two dead and three seriously injured.
Traffic was resumed after authorities carried out the cleaning work on the road and investigation at the scene of the crash, which required the temporary closure of the affected section.
