Brazil's Federal Police and Peru's National Police carried out a joint operation that resulted in the destruction of four drug processing laboratories in the Peruvian Amazon region. This joint action aimed to combat drug trafficking networks operating in this border area between the two countries.
During the operation, authorities also destroyed five clandestine landing strips that were being used by criminal organizations for the transport of drugs and other illegal activities. These facilities allowed small aircraft used in the trafficking of illicit substances to land.
The operation in the Amazon represents a significant effort by Brazilian and Peruvian authorities to combat cross-border organized crime in the region. The destruction of these strategic points aims to hinder the operations of criminal groups that exploit the Amazon rainforest for their illegal activities.
